How to Put Chest on Donkey in Minecraft
Minecraft is a popular sandbox game where players can explore, create, and survive in a pixelated world. One of the key elements of the game is the ability to tame and utilize various animals, such as the donkey. Donkeys are useful as they can carry items for you, but did you know you can also put a chest on a donkey to increase its storage capacity? In this article, we will walk you through the steps on how to put a chest on a donkey in Minecraft.
Step 1: Taming a Donkey
Before you can put a chest on a donkey, you need to first tame one. Donkeys can be found in the wild or can be spawned using a donkey spawn egg. To tame a donkey, you need to right-click on it multiple times until you see heart particles appear above its head. You may need to feed the donkey some apples, golden apples, or hay bales to speed up the taming process.
Step 2: Crafting a Chest
To put a chest on a donkey, you need to have a chest in your inventory. If you don't have one, you can craft it using eight wooden planks. Open your crafting table and arrange the wooden planks in a square shape, leaving the center space empty. Once crafted, you will have a chest in your inventory ready to be used.
Step 3: Equipping the Chest
Now that you have a tamed donkey and a chest, it's time to equip the chest on the donkey. Place the chest in your hotbar and select it so it is ready to be placed. Approach the tamed donkey and right-click on it with the chest selected. The chest will now be equipped on the donkey's back.
Step 4: Accessing the Donkey's Inventory
To access the donkey's inventory and store or retrieve items, right-click on the equipped chest. A separate window will open, displaying the donkey's inventory. You can now drag and drop items between your inventory and the donkey's inventory for storage. The donkey can carry up to 15 stackable items in its inventory, effectively expanding your storage space during your adventures.
Step 5: Removing the Chest
If at any point you want to remove the chest from the donkey, simply right-click on the equipped chest again. The chest will detach from the donkey's back, and any items stored in it will drop on the ground. Make sure to pick up your items before they despawn!
Putting a chest on a donkey in Minecraft can be a game-changer, providing you with portable storage during your explorations. Remember to tame the donkey first, craft a chest, and equip it onto the donkey's back. Enjoy your enhanced storage capacity and happy crafting!
