• River North Gallery District The greatest concentration of galleries in Chicago can be found in River North- many within a block or two from the intersection of Superior and Franklin Streets.
• West Loop/Fulton Market/West Side The largest gallery centers in the West Side district are near the intersection of Peoria and Washington and Fulton Market area between Peoria and Racine.
• Michigan Ave. Area Approximately 25 galleries can be found along the "Magnificent Mile" from Oak St. to the river and further south near The Art Institute and Millenium Park.
• Pilsen, Pilsen East/Chicago Arts District, South and Beyond These art districts (approximately two miles south of the West Loop) are around Halsted & 18th St. as well as in Bronzeville and Bridgeport.

- Suburbs: About 20 minutes west of the loop by car (or a little longer by public transportation) are the Home and Studio of Frank Lloyd Wright as well as the nearby galleries in Oak Park. Or travel north or west to other nearby suburbs for various museum and gallery exhibits, including The Block Museum of Art at Northwestern University in Evanston and the Evanston Art Center.
